Indonesia Ministry of Religious Affairs allocates Rp4.1 trillion for madrasah and RA funding
The Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) is processing the second phase of the 2026 School Operational Assistance (BOS) for madrasahs and the Raudlatul Athfal (RA) Operational Assistance (BOP RA). The total budget allocated for this phase is Rp4.1 trillion.
Of this amount, Rp3.7 trillion is designated for BOS Madrasah, supporting 52,000 private madrasahs, while Rp370 billion is allocated for BOP RA, supporting 31,000 RA institutions across Indonesia. Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar described the funds as a strategic instrument to ensure that teaching and learning activities remain independent, feasible, and sustainable.
The application and verification process is being conducted entirely through Kemenag's official digital portal to enhance transparency and efficiency. Officials noted that the completion of the first phase's accountability report (LPJ) is a primary requirement for the disbursement of these second-phase funds.
