Indonesia Ministry of Religious Affairs ensures Umrah pilgrim safety
The Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs has confirmed that 37 Umrah pilgrims traveling through King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh remain safe amid security tensions in the Middle East.
According to Ministry spokesperson Ichsan Marsha, coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh has confirmed that no pilgrims have fallen victim to recent incidents. The government is closely monitoring the situation to ensure the protection of all Indonesian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
Authorities have advised pilgrims currently in Saudi Arabia to remain calm, increase vigilance, and focus on worship in Mecca and Medina. Pilgrims are encouraged to limit non-essential travel, follow local authority directions, and avoid potentially high-risk areas. Additionally, Umrah travel organizers have been instructed to prioritize pilgrim safety and maintain constant communication regarding any schedule changes.
