The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism is hosting the “Jelajah Indonesia Wastra Nusantara” exhibition at Grand Indonesia, Jakarta, from September 2 to 6, 2026. The event showcases the nation's diverse traditional textiles, including batik, tenun, and ikat fabrics.

Deputy for Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, stated that these textiles serve as more than just products; they act as cultural identities and tourism magnets. The initiative aims to promote cultural and experience-based tourism by using the stories and traditions embedded in the fabrics to connect visitors with specific travel destinations across Indonesia.
