Indonesia Ministry of Youth and Sports to host 2026 Youth Summit

The Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) is preparing to host the Indonesia Youth Summit (IYS) 2026 to commemorate Youth Pledge Day on October 28. Minister Erick Thohir announced that the event is scheduled to take place following the conclusion of the Asian Para Games.

In collaboration with local governments, the ministry has been selecting participants from a pool of 5,100 youths. Approximately 160 individuals have been chosen to participate in the Wirasena Youth Camp, which will feature character building, leadership workshops, outbound challenges, and action projects.

The summit will include interactive discussions and debates on strategic topics such as the green economy, gender equality, and mental health. To enhance regional perspectives, the ministry also plans to invite youth representatives from Singapore for benchmarking purposes.
