Indonesia observes World Cleanup Day 2026 with regional cleaning efforts

Various communities and organizations across Indonesia participated in environmental cleaning activities to observe World Cleanup Day 2026.

In Tangerang, JHL Group and Banksasuci conducted a clean-up operation at the Cisadane River. The initiative, part of the ‘Impactful Ecosystem’ program, involved employees collecting various types of waste, including plastic, styrofoam, and household trash, to address environmental issues in the area surrounding the river.

In Makassar, the Bitowa sub-district held a mass community service event. Led by local officials, residents cleaned drainage systems and areas around the Tunggu Pampang Reservoir. The activity aimed to support the ‘Indonesia Bersih 2029’ program and promote long-term public awareness regarding environmental responsibility.
