Indonesia Opens Oscar Submission Process for 2027 Awards

The Indonesian Oscar Selection Committee (IOSC), operating under the Persatuan Perusahaan Film Indonesia (PPFI), announced that registration is open for Indonesian films to compete for the International Feature Film category at the 99th Academy Awards. The deadline for submissions is 31 August 2026, 17:00 WIB.

Eligible films must have premiered in a commercial Indonesian cinema for at least seven consecutive days between 1 October 2025 and 30 September 2026, run longer than 40 minutes, and contain more than 50 percent non‑English dialogue.
