Indonesia outlines 2027 budget for education studios and LPG subsidies
The Indonesian government has outlined key allocations in the 2027 State Budget (RAPBN) and Financial Note. The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has separated the budget for constructing learning studios from other educational programs. This initiative, proposed by President Prabowo Subianto, aims to support distance learning (PJJ) by renovating existing educational TV studios in Jakarta to optimize centralized broadcasts.
In terms of energy policy, the government plans to increase the 3kg LPG subsidy budget to Rp114.1 trillion in 2027, a 26.21% increase from the 2026 outlook. This rise is attributed to the strengthening rupiah against the US dollar and an increase in distribution volume to 8.94 million metric tons. To ensure efficiency, the government intends to transform the subsidy model from commodity-based to beneficiary-based, utilizing National Identity Number (NIK) data to target distribution more accurately.
