Indonesian police seize drug couriers in Bali and Sulawesi

In Bali, a 40‑year‑old courier identified as BDP was apprehended on 25 June in Mengwi, Badung, while attempting to "tempel" methamphetamine on the side of the road. Police seized more than 242 grams of methamphetamine and other evidence, and the suspect is being questioned.

In South Sulawesi, two men identified as RL (27) from Makassar and RM (30) from Gowa were stopped on 8 July while riding a motorcycle in Galesong Utara, Takalar. They were found with over 11 grams of methamphetamine concealed in their underwear. The police, acting on community tips about a shipment from Makassar to Jeneponto, seized the drugs, detained the suspects at the Takalar police station, and are investigating possible broader networks.

Both operations were carried out by regional narcotics units, highlighting ongoing law‑enforcement efforts against meth distribution in Indonesia.
