Indonesia police bust meth operations in Surabaya and Binjai

Indonesian narcotics police arrested a 22‑year‑old woman in Surabaya after she took over her husband’s methamphetamine trafficking. Officers seized three packages weighing a total of 292.93 grams of meth, worth about Rp 45 million, at a warung on Jalan Kejuron on 12 June 2026. The police said, "Dari hasil pengamanan ditemukan tiga paket sabu dengan total berat bruto 292,93 gram," and noted the suspect had conducted three transactions since May.

In a separate operation in North Sumatra, the Binjai police unit captured two male dealers, ages 36 and 33, during undercover actions on 14 June and 12 June 2026. The busts recovered 12.48 grams of meth, a digital scale, a storage bag, a wallet and plastic packaging. Police quoted local officials, "Kami berkomitmen penuh memberantas narkoba," emphasizing a continued crackdown on drug distribution. Both sets of suspects face charges carrying four to twelve years of imprisonment.
