Indonesia police chief's Hoegeng legacy pledge backed by GP Al‑Washliyah

Aminullah Siagian, chairman of the youth organization GP Al‑Washliyah, voiced full support for Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo’s commitment to keep the spirit of the late General Hoegeng Iman Santoso alive within the Indonesian National Police. Speaking after the Hoegeng Awards 2026, Siagian said Hoegeng’s values—honesty, courage, integrity, simplicity and service to the public—must become a lasting work culture, not merely a historical reference. He urged that these principles be upheld from the police headquarters down to regional units and called for public encouragement and constructive criticism to strengthen the force’s professionalism, transparency and public trust.
