As Indonesia prepares for its 81st Independence Day celebrations and the MPR Annual Session, several former presidents' attendance has been noted. Former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will not attend the sessions at the Palace due to medical check-ups in the United States, according to Democratic Party official Benny K. Harman. Former President Joko Widodo is confirmed to attend, while Megawati Soekarnoputri's attendance is still pending confirmation.

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to deliver a state address during the session. In Batu City, local government officials, including Mayor Nurochman and DPRD Chairman H. M. Didik Subiyanto, expressed their commitment to overseeing President Prabowo's strategic national programs, such as the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) initiative, to ensure they effectively reach the intended communities.
