Indonesia presents carved wooden levha to Sarajevo's Istiklal Mosque

Indonesian Ambassador Manahan M. P. Sitompul handed a carved teak levha, inscribed with the name “Muhammed”, to Imam Edin ef. Hamzakadić of the Istiklal Mosque in Sarajevo. The artwork, created in Jepara, Central Java, was donated by Indonesian official Lestari Moerdijat during a February 2026 working visit. The levha will be installed in the mosque as a lasting symbol of cultural and religious friendship, reinforcing bilateral ties between Indonesia and Bosnia‑Herzegovina.
