Indonesia: Regional regulatory updates and Pancasila commemorations

The Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office of Bangka Belitung held a harmonization meeting for three regional regulations in Bangka Regency. The session focused on two Draft Regional Regulations (Ranperda) concerning village apparatus and the Village Consultative Body (BPD), as well as one Draft Regent Regulation (Ranperbup) regarding domestic and international official travel guidelines. The goal is to ensure local laws align with national legislation.

In Jayapura, the city government held a ceremony to commemorate Pancasila Sanctity Day. Vice Mayor Rustan Saru led the event, emphasizing the importance of the national ideology in maintaining social harmony within the city's diverse population. He urged citizens to remain vigilant against radicalism, intolerance, and the spread of hoaxes to preserve regional stability.
