Modeling Technique Boosts Assertive Behavior Among MAS Ulumul Qur’an Students in Banda Aceh
A quantitative study at MAS Ulumul Qur’an in Banda Aceh evaluated the impact of a modeling technique on the assertive behavior of seventh‑grade students. Using a one‑group pretest‑posttest design, seven students completed an assertiveness questionnaire before and after the intervention. Average scores rose from 46.42 in the pretest to 87.68 in the posttest, and the paired‑sample t‑test showed a statistically significant improvement (p = 0.000). The findings suggest that the modeling technique effectively enhances students’ ability to express opinions, feelings, and needs confidently while respecting others’ rights.
The research, authored by Hadisatul Mahya and deposited in the repository of Universitas Islam Negeri Ar‑Raniry, contributes to counseling and educational practice by providing evidence for a low‑cost, classroom‑based method to develop essential social skills among secondary‑school learners.
