Indonesia road incidents: motorcyclist injured in Jakarta bus crash and fatal robbery in West Java

In Jakarta, a 49‑year‑old motorcyclist identified as Dikin attempted to overtake a Transjakarta bus on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman. The bus struck his motorcycle, causing a right‑leg injury. Dikin was taken to Dr. Mintohardjo Naval Hospital for treatment, while the bus sustained minor damage. Police are investigating the collision.

In West Java, a 48‑year‑old motorbike driver (initials DTLP) was ambushed near Bekasi and attacked with a machete by two bandits. Despite resisting, he suffered fatal wounds and died after being taken to hospital. Police quickly arrested three suspects—MF, RTF and MRA—in Bekasi and Bogor; a fourth suspect, S, remains at large. The offenders are charged under Article 479(2) of the 2023 Criminal Code, facing up to 20 years in prison.
