Indonesia rolls out digital tax app in Gunungkidul and expands mobile vehicle‑tax offices in Jakarta

The Gunungkidul regency's Finance and Asset Agency (BKAD) has launched the Senapati application, an integrated electronic tax‑payment system that links real‑time banking data to improve transparency, compliance and the collection of local revenue (PAD). BKAD chief Putro Sapto Wahyono said the app enables electronic tax filing without paper documents and helps prevent revenue leakage.

In Jakarta, the Metro Police have opened 14 mobile Samsat (vehicle‑tax) kiosks across the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek). The booths operate at designated sites from early morning to mid‑afternoon, allowing motorists to pay their annual vehicle tax (PKB) on the spot, provided they bring required documents such as ID, vehicle registration and tax forms. The service does not cover multi‑year registration renewals or plate changes, which must still be done at a permanent Samsat office.
