Indonesia secures $104,000 export potential to Chile through business matching

Indonesia's Ministry of Trade, via the Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in Santiago, organised three online business‑matching sessions from 23 to 30 June 2026 with Chilean buyers. The programme identified potential export orders worth US$104,000, comprising US$46,000 of palm‑oil derivatives, US$28,000 of coffee and US$30,000 of adult diapers. Director General of National Export Development Fajarini Puntodewi said the matching helps Indonesian firms evaluate product quality, price and supply capacity before scaling purchases.

Trade data show total IndonesiaChile trade reached US$226.2 million in January‑May 2026, up 1.02 % year‑on‑year, with Indonesian exports at US$179.1 million and imports at US$47.1 million. In 2025 the bilateral trade totalled US$535.5 million, giving Indonesia a surplus of US$347.5 million. Major 2025 export commodities to Chile included vehicles and parts, footwear, fertilizers, machinery and paper products.
