Indonesia secures Rp88.1 trillion in Chinese investment via TCTP

Indonesia has secured approximately Rp88.1 trillion (US$4.96 billion) in investment commitments from Chinese companies through the Two Countries Twin Parks (TCTP) cooperation framework.

During an investment promotion conference held in Xiamen on September 9, 2026, an additional Rp51 trillion (US$2.87 billion) in business commitments was signed via Memorandums of Understanding (MoU). This brings the total value of commitments under the TCTP scheme to Rp88.1 trillion, following an initial Rp37.1 trillion (US$2.09 billion) established through 30 previous MoUs.

Ali Murtopo Simbolon, Deputy for Commerce and Digital Economy Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, stated that the partnership aims to strengthen industrial connectivity, supply chains, technology transfer, and job creation in Indonesia. The Indonesian government intends to monitor these commitments closely to ensure they transition from signed agreements into concrete, realized projects by facilitating communication between investors and relevant ministries.
