Indonesian athletes have made notable appearances at the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan. Teqball player Yoga Ardika Putra secured two victories in the men's singles Group B preliminary round. He defeated Vietnam's Truong Giang Ba in three sets (7-12, 12-11, 12-8) and overcame Laos' Alisa in straight sets (12-5, 12-6). Putra, a 21-year-old student, expressed confidence despite the pressure of his debut and faces upcoming matches against South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines.
In badminton, Amri Syahnawi and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti have been appointed as captains for the Indonesian men's and women's team events, respectively. The captains were selected through a voting process involving players and coaches.
