Indonesia sees two vehicle incidents with property damage but no injuries

In Teluk Ambon, an angkot driver identified as Paulus Yafet Labobar fell asleep while driving a Suzuki Futura on August 1, 2026. The vehicle left the road and struck a 24‑hour kiosk and a nearby mini‑fuel station owned by Sunarto Mukri Kasbin, causing material damage but no injuries. Police from the Teluk Ambon precinct handled the case through mediation between the driver and the kiosk owner.

In a separate incident in Sumatra Selatan, a 28‑year‑old man known only as KK borrowed a Honda Beat motorcycle from a resident named Sri in Bengkulu and failed to return it. After more than two weeks, police from the Ratu Samban unit recovered the bike and arrested KK on charges of theft, with the victim reporting a loss of roughly 9 million rupiah.
