Indonesia Sets August 2026 CPO Reference Price at $996.52/MT

Indonesia's Ministry of Trade announced the reference price for crude palm oil (CPO) for the period 1–31 August 2026 at US$ 996.52 per metric ton, a decline of US$ 4.38 (0.44%) from the July level. The price serves as the basis for the export duty (Bea Keluar) set at US$ 148 per ton and the export service fee calculated at 12.5% of the reference price, equal to US$ 124.56 per ton.

Director General of Foreign Trade Tommy Andana explained that the adjustment follows the standard mechanism and reflects weaker global demand, particularly from India, as well as lower world crude oil prices. The reference price was derived from the average of Indonesian and Malaysian CPO exchange rates, in line with the relevant Treasury Regulations (PMK).
