Indonesia Shipping Agencies Association holds 2026 National Working Meeting

The Indonesia Shipping Agencies Association (ISAA) held its 2026 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) in Bogor, West Java, marking the organization's 10th anniversary. The event was attended by approximately 250 participants from across Indonesia.

Capt Heru Susanto, Director of Traffic at the Directorate General of Sea Transportation, emphasized the vital role of shipping agencies in supporting Indonesia's maritime economy as an archipelagic nation. He highlighted that digitalization and safety management are essential for professional maritime services. The government expressed interest in receiving strategic input from the meeting to improve regulatory frameworks and administrative transparency.

Representatives from PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) also attended, affirming their commitment to collaborating with ISAA to ensure smooth vessel movements and support national economic growth amidst global maritime challenges.
