Indonesia Stock Exchange halts Adhi Karya trading over missed bond interest

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has temporarily halted trading of PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) stock as of August 24, 2026. The suspension follows the state-owned construction company's failure to pay a bond interest installment due on that date.

Adhi Karya missed the 17th interest payment for its Continuous Bonds III 2022 Series B and C, totaling Rp60.8 billion. The IDX noted that the postponement of interest payments may indicate issues regarding the company's business continuity.

In an attempt to address the situation, Adhi Karya held a General Meeting of Bondholders on August 6, 2026, to propose a revised payment schedule for the 17th, 18th, and 19th installments. However, the proposal failed to pass because it did not meet the required quorum. The company stated it is committed to complying with capital market regulations and will coordinate with the trustee and bondholders.
