Indonesia Stock Exchange set to launch Gold ETF on Aug 10, 2026 capital‑market anniversary

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) announced that it will launch a Gold Exchange‑Traded Fund (ETF) on 10 August 2026, aligning the debut with the 49th anniversary of Indonesia’s capital market. IDX Development Director Iding Pardi said the launch is planned for the market’s birthday and that fewer than ten exchange members are prepared to issue the product.

Regulatory clearance has been secured: the fund’s rules have been issued and approved by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). Seven investment managers have submitted preliminary listing agreements with IDX. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has also proposed incentives for new financial‑services products, including the Gold ETF, to the Coordinating Minister for the Economy. The ETF will allow investors to gain exposure to gold price movements without holding physical gold.
