Indonesia Stock Exchange targets 1,100 listed firms by 2030 as LQ45 index is reshuffled

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) announced an ambitious goal to increase the number of listed companies to 1,100 by 2030, up from the current 963. Achieving the target will require roughly 137 new listings, or about 35 additional issuers each year. OJK market‑supervision chief Hasan Fawzi said the aim is realistic and could lift Indonesia into the top ten global exchanges by market capitalisation. As of 3 August, BEI’s total market capitalisation stood at roughly IDR 10.97 trillion.

In a related move, BEI revised the composition of its flagship LQ45 blue‑chip index on 27 July 2026. The update added Indika Energy Tbk (INDY) and Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) while removing Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) and Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR). The full list of 45 constituents for the period 3 August to 30 October 2026 was published, reflecting the exchange’s ongoing effort to keep the index aligned with market liquidity, capitalisation and fundamentals.
