Indonesia Stock Exchange tightens IPO and listing requirements
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has tightened requirements for companies seeking to list on the stock exchange through the second phase of amendments to Exchange Regulation Number I-A. These changes, which received approval from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), officially went into effect on October 9, 2026.
The new regulations increase financial requirements for prospective issuers and mandate that they submit five-year financial projections following their listing. Additionally, the exchange has introduced a requirement regarding retained earnings as a criterion for companies to remain on the Main Board.
According to BEI, these measures are part of an ongoing capital market reform aimed at strengthening market structure, improving the quality of listed companies, and enhancing investor protection. The goal is to ensure that listed companies possess adequate fundamental conditions and operational readiness to support a high-quality and sustainable capital market ecosystem.
