Indonesia targets 2 million home renovation units by 2027

Indonesia's Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) is aiming to propose a self-help housing stimulus program (BSPS), commonly known as 'Bedah Rumah', for up to 2 million units by 2027. While current allocations for 2027 stand at 311,000 units, the ministry is working to increase this figure to meet the targets set in the 2025-2029 Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJM). The program provides assistance to low-income communities for home renovations or new constructions to ensure decent living conditions.

Separately, the Public Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera) reported that as of September 10, 2026, the disbursement of subsidized home mortgages under the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) reached 147,871 units. This represents a total financing value of approximately Rp18.4 trillion, moving toward the government's 2026 target of 350,000 units. To enhance affordability, the government offers financing terms of up to 40 years for eligible Indonesian citizens who meet specific income and homeownership criteria.
