Indonesia targets renovation of 400,000 homes by 2026

Indonesia's cabinet secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya met with Housing and Settlement Affairs Minister Maruarar Sirait to reaffirm the government's goal of renovating 400,000 inadequate housing units by 2026, up from a 45,000‑unit target for 2025. The discussion emphasized accelerating the Stimulus Housing Self‑Help (BSPS) program, improving coordination among ministries, agencies, and local governments, and ensuring rapid, accurate verification of beneficiary data.

Later, Minister Sirait addressed developers at the 13th anniversary of the National Association of Developers and Home Marketers (ASPRUMNAS). He pledged fair treatment for developers complying with standards, warned of possible sanctions for violations, and highlighted progress under the Housing Liquidity Facility (FLPP), which helped deliver 9,207 homes in 2025 as part of the "3 Million House" initiative. The minister urged continued collaboration to expand affordable, quality housing for low‑income Indonesians.
