Indonesia targets zero dengue deaths by 2030 amid rapid病情 warnings
Medical professionals are urging the public to remain vigilant regarding Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DBD), noting that the condition can deteriorate rapidly even when a patient's fever appears to be subsiding. Dr. Gia Pratama Putra warned that early symptoms are often indistinguishable from common fevers, making early detection and monitoring critical.
Key danger signs that require immediate medical attention include severe abdominal pain, continuous vomiting, bleeding, extreme weakness, restlessness, or a decrease in consciousness. Prompt medical intervention is essential to prevent the disease from progressing to a severe state.
This awareness effort aligns with Indonesia's national goal to achieve zero dengue-related deaths by 2030. To support this target, the country is implementing the National Dengue Control Action Plan for 2026–2029, focusing on early detection, improved medical access, and rapid referral systems for severe cases.
