Indonesia to develop technology-based drug rehabilitation for youth

President Prabowo Subianto has directed government ministers and agency heads to formulate a new model for drug rehabilitation, specifically targeting teenagers and young people. The goal is to create an approach that not only facilitates recovery but also helps users return to productive lives within society.

Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto stated that the President has requested reforms in curricula and educational models to ensure meaningful impact. The government plans to utilize best practices from universities that have already developed rehabilitation methods supported by technology and educational approaches.

Input for this new framework will be drawn from existing university practices, as well as expertise from researchers at the University of Indonesia and doctors from the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM). Additionally, the President has instructed officials to study successful rehabilitation and education models from other countries that leverage technological advancements.
