Indonesia to hold mass subsidized housing signing in Malang

The Indonesian government plans to hold a mass signing ceremony for subsidized housing in Malang, East Java, on December 17, 2026. Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas, Maruarar Sirait, announced that President Prabowo Subianto is expected to attend the event.

The ceremony will cover 71,000 subsidized housing units across Indonesia. This follows previous mass signing events held in Bogor, Serang, and Batang. These programs utilize the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme, which provides low-income communities with affordable mortgage options, including fixed interest rates, credit tenors of up to 20 years, and down payments starting at one percent.

In addition to the housing initiative, Minister Sirait noted that the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas is preparing future work programs as requested by President Prabowo to support national comfort, beauty, and the empowerment of MSMEs.
