Indonesia to host major energy transition and renewable technology summits

Major energy and electricity industry events are scheduled to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia, focusing on the complexities of the regional energy transition and clean energy implementation.

Enlit Asia and MKI Electricity Connect 2026 will be held from September 22–24, 2026, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City. Organized through a partnership between Clarion Events Asia and the Masyarakat Ketenagalistrikan Indonesia (MKI), the event aims to address energy security and power system resilience. Discussions will focus on challenges such as balancing coal usage with rising electricity demands from digitalization, heavy manufacturing, and hyperscale data centers. The summit will cover grid modernisation, clean and thermal generation, decarbonisation, and the role of AI in digitalisation.

Additionally, the 12th IndoEBTKE ConEx is set for September 2–4, 2026, at Jiexco Kemayoran. Under the theme ‘Turning Ambition into Action: Accelerating Clean Energy Transition in Indonesia and ASEAN’, the conference and exhibition will showcase global renewable energy technologies and services. The event serves as a platform for government, industry, and academia to collaborate on accelerating green investment and clean energy implementation across Indonesia and the ASEAN region.
