Indonesia leads Taiwan 1-0 in Asian Games women’s badminton quarterfinals

In the women’s team badminton quarterfinals of the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, Indonesia has taken a 1-0 lead against Taiwan. Putri Kusuma Wardani secured the opening point for the Indonesian squad by defeating Taiwan’s Lin Hsiang Ti in a closely contested three-game match, with scores of 21-16, 20-22, and 21-15.

Following this victory, Indonesia looks to secure two more wins to advance to the semifinals. The upcoming matches include the women’s doubles pairing of Rachel Allessya Rose and Febi Setianingrum against Hsieh Pei Shan and Lin Jhih Yun, as well as Thalita Ramadhani Wiryawan facing Chu Pin-Chian.

Indonesian women's doubles coach Karel Mainaky stated that the team is in good physical and technical condition, noting that the squad is being deployed in its best possible composition to face the strong Taiwanese opponents.
