Indonesia women's volleyball team finishes fifth at AVC Women's Continental 2026

The Indonesian women's national volleyball team finished in fifth place at the AVC Women's Continental 2026 in Tianjin, China. This result exceeded the top-six target previously set by the Indonesian Volleyball Federation (PBVSI).

In the quarterfinal match held on August 28, 2026, Indonesia lost to Iran with a score of 1-3 (25-19, 16-25, 12-25, and 17-25). Despite the loss, Indonesia secured fifth place in the final standings due to a better set ratio compared to South Korea, as both teams finished with two wins and two losses.

Team manager Luciana Taroreh praised the players' efforts and noted that the tournament provided valuable experience against top Asian teams. She highlighted the need for the squad to improve game consistency and reduce unforced errors to compete more effectively at this level.
