Indonesia women's volleyball team targets runner‑up finish at SEA V Cup 2026
The Indonesian Volleyball Federation (PBVSI) officially released the women's national team for a series of international competitions in late July and early August 2026. The squad, comprising 14 athletes, three coaches and a manager, departed for an invitational tournament in Jecheon, South Korea, where they will play three test matches against the Korean senior team as preparation.
PBVSI President Imam Sudjarwo announced that the team’s goal for the upcoming SEA V Cup is to finish as runner‑up. The SEA V Cup will be contested in two legs: the first in Hanoi, Vietnam (31 July–2 August) and the second in Thailand (7–9 August). The women's team will travel to Vietnam after the Korean test matches, then continue to Thailand for the final leg.
The federation emphasized the importance of the Korean tests for assessing the squad’s readiness ahead of the regional tournament. The men’s national team is also preparing for the SEA V Cup, aiming for the championship in the second leg hosted in Jakarta, Indonesia. Both squads are expected to benefit from the intensive training camp and the upcoming matches.
