Indonesian advocate organizations launch new initiatives and partnerships
Two Indonesian advocate organizations have announced significant developments aimed at professionalizing the legal sector. Peradi Nobiliti has officially obtained legal status as of October 8, 2026, following a decision by the Ministry of Law. The organization intends to use legal philosophy as a foundation to ensure integrity, professionalism, and justice within the profession, responding to recent changes in the Indonesian Criminal Code and a Constitutional Court mandate to reform the Advocate Law by 2028.
Separately, the National Leadership Board of Peradi Profesional signed a strategic agreement with 43 Muhammadiyah-affiliated universities in Yogyakarta on October 31, 2026. This partnership aims to strengthen advocate professional education by focusing on legal mastery, professional skills, and personal integrity. The initiative seeks to ensure that legal education goes beyond technical skills to foster moral courage and responsibility toward justice.
