Indonesian agencies push for improved regional service and data monitoring

Indonesian government agencies are focusing on improving regional administrative services and data monitoring. The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights participated in a focus group discussion in Bali to evaluate the performance monitoring dashboard for intellectual property programs. The initiative aims to optimize data integration, information security, and the use of performance data to support regional intellectual property ecosystems.

Separately, the Ministry of Home Affairs has called on local governments to reform Land and Building Transfer Duty (BPHTB) services. Teguh Narutomo, Director of Regional Revenue, emphasized that while BPHTB is a vital source of local original revenue, optimization must be accompanied by faster, more transparent, and legally certain services. He urged local authorities to establish clear service standards so taxpayers are not left waiting without certainty regarding document verification and processing times.
