Indonesian Armed Forces conduct trimatra integrated training in Lingka, Riau Islands
The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) carried out a trimatra integrated exercise in Lingga, Kepulauan Riau, testing the interoperability of personnel and major weapons systems across the army, navy and air force. The drill, overseen by Commander of the Armed Forces General Agus Subiyanto and Air Force Chief Marshal M. Tonny Harjono, included a parachute drop by the Frontline Airborne Operations Group (KDOL), which inserted 13 army rapid‑reaction troops and 12 infantry soldiers to secure a drop‑zone and gather intelligence.
A related joint‑operations drill, titled Latihan Terintegrasi TNI 2026, was staged at the Marine Training Center in Dabo Singkep on 5 August 2026. More than 12,900 personnel from all three services took part, employing artillery, rockets, warships, helicopters, transport aircraft, unmanned systems and other equipment to simulate the defence of vital national assets and territorial sovereignty.
