Indonesian authorities seize hundreds of illegal alcohol bottles in regional raids
Law enforcement and local officials in Indonesia have conducted multiple raids targeting the illegal sale of alcoholic beverages across North Jakarta and Bantul Regency.
In North Jakarta, the Satpol PP (Civil Service Police Unit) seized 197 bottles of various alcoholic brands from stalls in the Cilincing area. The operation, conducted alongside the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) and the Transportation Agency, was a response to community complaints regarding unauthorized sales in residential neighborhoods. Shop owners found in violation were issued formal warnings and administrative sanctions.
Simultaneously, in Bantul Regency, police conducted raids across 10 locations, including Dlingo, Kretek, and Jetis. This operation resulted in the seizure of 283 bottles of various alcoholic drinks—such as Anggur Merah, Bintang beer, and local ciu—as well as 2 liters of pure alcohol. The raids were prompted by community information and routine increased security activities.
