Indonesian bands Kotak and Tiket announce major lineup and career shifts

Indonesian music groups Kotak and Tiket have announced significant transitions in their careers. After 18 years with a record label, the band Kotak has moved to become an independent act. This shift was marked by the release of their single “YOLO (You Only Live Once)” on August 10, 2026. Vocalist Tantri explained that the song encourages individuals to be themselves and grow without the pressure of external standards.

Meanwhile, the pop-rock band Tiket has introduced Rifqi FTR as their new vocalist. The announcement took place during a performance at Urban Forest in South Jakarta on August 23, 2026. Rifqi FTR joins existing members Brian Kresna Putro, Opet Alatas, and Arden Wiebowo, replacing former vocalist Aqi Singgih to bring fresh energy to the group.
