Adhi Karya shares suspended by Indonesia Stock Exchange after bond interest default

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has suspended trading of PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) shares effective Monday, August 24, 2026. The suspension follows the company's inability to meet a Rp 60.8 billion interest payment obligation for its 2022 Series B and C bonds due on the same day.

Management at ADHI stated that the suspension is a standard market mechanism. The company is currently undergoing restructuring and has proposed rescheduling interest payments for the 17th, 18th, and 19th installments of its continuous bonds. A meeting with bondholders to seek approval for these changes was scheduled for September 11, 2026, after a previous meeting failed to reach a quorum.

Separately, PT Bank Syariah Nasional (Bank BSN) conducted a mass signing of 10,000 sharia financing contracts across Indonesia to mark its first anniversary as an independent Sharia Commercial Bank. The contracts primarily focused on housing, including 6,550 subsidized mortgage (KPR) agreements.
