Indonesian banks report significant credit distribution in 2026

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) has distributed Rp144.59 trillion in People's Business Credit (KUR) to 2.76 million debtors between January and August 2026. Approximately 68.38 percent of these funds, totaling Rp98.86 trillion, were directed toward productive sectors. The largest contributor was the agriculture, hunting, and forestry sector, accounting for 42.79 percent of the total KUR distribution.

Separately, PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) reported total mortgage (KPR) disbursements of Rp552 trillion through September 2026. BTN holds a 39 percent share of the national housing finance market and a 69 percent share of the subsidized mortgage market. The bank has also facilitated 35,808 housing units through collaborations with various ministries and agencies, targeting diverse groups including teachers, healthcare workers, and informal sector laborers.
