Indonesian business groups advocate for credit access and regulatory reform

Indonesian entrepreneur organizations are calling for structural improvements to support business growth and modernization. The Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) is advocating for easier, more transparent access to the People's Business Credit (KUR) program. HIPMI Chairman Ade Jona Prasetyo emphasized that KUR is a strategic instrument for MSMEs to increase production capacity and create jobs. To assist, HIPMI is establishing an aspiration and assistance channel through its regional networks to help young entrepreneurs navigate administrative and procedural hurdles.

Simultaneously, the Indonesian Young Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KAPMI) has expressed full support for the revision of Law Number 1 of 1987 regarding the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). KAPMI Chairman Muliansyah Abdurrahman stated that the current regulations do not align with global economic dynamics, such as e-commerce, Industry 4.0, and Artificial Intelligence. The organization seeks a revised legal framework that strengthens KADIN's role in policy advocacy, investment facilitation, and empowering MSMEs to compete globally in the digital and green economy sectors.
