Indonesian climbing team heads to Asia Youth Championship in China

Thirteen young Indonesian climbing athletes will participate in the World Climbing Asia Youth Championship in Guiyang, China, from August 21 to 25, 2026. The team was selected based on results from the junior national championships held in Jakarta in June 2026, as well as performance within the national training center.

Head coach Galar Pandu Asmoro stated that the participation serves as a benchmark for athlete development and a long-term training process. The goal is to provide junior athletes with international experience and prepare them for higher levels of competition and future regeneration within the sport.
