Indonesian cosmetics target US$1.4 million in potential Philippines deals

Eight Indonesian beauty firms exhibited at Cosmobeauté Philippines 2026, where they recorded potential transactions of Rp26.35 billion (about US$1.4 million), according to Trade Attaché Rahayu Ningsih. She said, “We are optimistic that quality Indonesian cosmetics will be welcomed and remain competitive in the Philippine market.”

Each exhibitor received visits from at least 20 companies from the Philippines and other regional markets such as Turkey, Thailand, Taiwan and South Korea, exploring import, distribution, contract‑manufacturing and OEM opportunities.

The Philippines ranks as Indonesia’s eighth‑largest export destination and 21st source of imports; bilateral trade in 2025 reached US$12.02 billion, with Indonesian exports of US$10.22 billion and imports of US$1.80 billion. Indonesian cosmetics accounted for a 4.47 % share of the Philippines’ cosmetics imports, underscoring growing consumer demand.
