Indonesian Customs and Military Seize 21 kg of Methamphetamine at Border with Malaysia

Joint teams from Indonesian Customs (Bea Cukai Entikong), the Military’s Pamtas task force, the Kostrad battalion, the Indonesian National Police (BNN) and other agencies intercepted a vehicle crossing an unofficial checkpoint near Entikong, West Kalimantan. The driver, a man from Johor Baru, Malaysia, was found with 20 packages containing a total of 21.476 kg of crystal methamphetamine (sabu). The substances were identified as methamphetamine using narcotics test kits. The driver and the seized drugs were transferred to Kodam XII/Tanjungpura for further coordination before being handed over to BNN for legal proceedings. Authorities highlighted the operation as proof of strong inter‑agency synergy in combating cross‑border drug trafficking.
