Indonesian film 'Empat Musim Pertiwi' to debut at TIFF 2026

The Indonesian drama *Empat Musim Pertiwi*, directed by Kamila Andini, has been selected for its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2026. The film stars Putri Marino as Pertiwi, alongside Arya Saloka and veteran actress Christine Hakim.

After its TIFF screening, the movie is scheduled for theatrical release across Indonesia on 8 October 2026. The story follows Pertiwi, a woman who, after serving more than a decade in prison for killing a would‑be rapist, returns to her home village and confronts lingering trauma, family tensions, and the search for belonging.
