Indonesian Hajj pilgrims placed in 5‑star Madinah hotels for second wave

Around 16,930 Indonesian regular Hajj pilgrims of the second wave were accommodated in four‑ and five‑star hotels in Madinah, including the Millennium Al Aqeeq, Hilton, Makarem and Front Taiba properties located within the Ring One zone near Masjid Nabawi. Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak inspected the facilities on 6 June 2026, emphasizing fair room allocation and priority for elderly and disabled pilgrims.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah began moving the second wave from Mecca to Madinah on 7 June 2026. Officials confirmed that all service infrastructure was ready, though they apologized for minor baggage‑handling delays. Pilgrims were reminded to keep travel documents secure and to refrain from bringing Zamzam water in luggage. The mobilization marks the final stage of the pilgrimage before the pilgrims’ return to Indonesia via Madinah’s AMAA airport.
