Indonesian Hospitals Boost Care with New Management Partnership and Stroke Accreditation
RSUP M Djamil in Padang signed a memorandum of understanding with the Pariaman city government to strengthen the management of RSUD dr. Sadikin. The agreement, signed by RSUP director Dovy Djanas and Mayor Yota Balad, will provide assistance in hospital governance, service quality, human‑resource development and compliance with Ministry of Health standards, aiming to improve patient safety and expand quality care in the region.
In Batam, RSBP Batam was awarded Diamond Status by the World Stroke Organization, recognizing its stroke services as meeting international standards. Hospital chief Amsakar Achmad said the accreditation reflects the hospital’s ability to deliver rapid thrombolysis and thrombectomy, allowing Batam residents to receive comprehensive stroke treatment locally without referral to other cities. Both initiatives illustrate Indonesia’s broader push to raise hospital performance and patient safety across the country.
