Indonesian House of Representatives approves sale of KRI Ki Hajar Dewantara

The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) has officially approved the sale of the former naval vessel KRI Ki Hajar Dewantara-364 through an auction mechanism. The decision was ratified during the 5th Plenary Meeting on September 8, 2026, following a request from the Ministry of Defense and the Indonesian Navy.

Commission I Chairman Utut Adianto noted that the sale requires legislative approval because the asset's value exceeds 100 billion rupiah, as mandated by Law Number 1 of 2004 concerning State Treasury. The vessel is a corvette originally built in a shipyard in Split, Yugoslavia (modern-day Croatia). It features a length of 96.7 meters, a width of 11.2 meters, a displacement of approximately 2,080 metric tons, and a crew capacity of 118 people.
